General Update
Hello everyone!
This has become a bit of a running theme the last three weeks but I must apologise for not keeping up with everyone’s blog posts this week as I had to take some time away from my laptop and the blogosphere due to ill health. I hope no one feels as if I were ignoring their posts or comments because it looked like I was active here due to my scheduled posts… I always schedule a week’s worth of posts on a Sunday so even though my blog appeared active I spent the majority of this week cocooned in my bed.
Hopefully with a little more rest I will soon be back to my regular blog-hopping self.
But in the meantime if I have missed any posts that you feel super proud about writing or even posts written by other bloggers that you came across this week can you please link to them below in the comments section so I can check them out.
What I read
I only managed to finish one book this week, Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, because I was too ill to read but what a really enjoyable book it was! It was my first time reading a novel by Sanderson and I really loved it. My review for Skyward will be up in the next few days so keep an eye out for it if you’re interested.
What I am currently reading and what I intend to read next
I started my eARC of Permanent Record by Mary H.K Choi yesterday but am only one chapter in so can’t really tell you much about it but I hope to finish it in the next day or two. After that I have a bunch of library books on loan that I am really excited to read. I don’t know which title I will read next but some of my choices are:
- Vicious by VE Schwab
- The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
- The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
- The 100 by Kass Morgan
Any suggestions as to which one I should read first??
Book reviews
The following are the book reviews that I posted to my blog this week:
- How it Feels to Float by Helena Fox
- Rewrite the Stars by Emma Heatherington
- Solitaire by Alice Oseman
- American Panda by Glorai Chao
- Flesh and Bone and Water by Luiza Sauma
- Heartstopper Vol. 1 by Alice Oseman
- A Line Made by Walking by Sara Baume
Book tags, discussions and memes
Goodreads Monday this week was all about Landline by Rainbow Rowell.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday post about Book Titles with Numbers in Them.
I was nominated for my fourth Sunshine Blogger Award by my friend Sarah.
Thursday Discussion was a post in celebration of Mean Girls Day that focused on one of my fav books with pink on the cover, Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
And I took part in three book tags:
- Anything But Books Tag
- Autumn Book Tag – Are You Ready for Sweater Weather?
- Book Blogger Confessions Tag
And that’s another week wrapped up! If you’ve done a review of your reading and blogging week then feel free to link that in the comments section below.
Here’s to a great reading and blogging week ahead for all of us!
Much love friends.

I HOPE YOU’RE FEELING BETTER. I HOPE YOU READ ALL THE BOOKS AND DO WHATEVER IT IS YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO.

Aww I hope you’re feeling better soon Emer! ❤ I'm keen to try a book by Schwab and Sanderson. They've been on my TBR for ages so I'll be keeping an eye out for your reviews on them!

Aw thank you so much!!! Ooh I’ve already read schwab in the past and didn’t like her (much to the chagrin of pretty much every one of my bookish friends) so this is a second chance… Let’s see how it goes lol!!!

I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well Emer! I’ve been sick too and my blogging took a hit because of it. I’m really behind on posts (not to mention all the posts I haven’t written 🙈) but I’m hoping to catch up on everything soon! I hope you’re feeling a bit better now!

Yeah, these past weeks I’ve been more ill than usual; I have a chronic illness a way hence the being super prepared with blog posts because I know I can’t always rely on just say to day blogging. I’m very organised lolllll!!!
Thanks Rain. Hopefully this week things will be a little better and I’ll get to blog hop and read a little more <3333
