Hi everyone!
Today I’m back with another edition of The Liebster Award. I was tagged this time by my dear friend Sabrina @Notes from a Paper Plane Nomad back in May. Thanks so much for nominating me Sabrina, I really appreciate that you thought to tag me.

What is The Liebster Award?
I found all this information on The Global Aussie‘s page.
“The Liebster Award is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.”
Rules:
- Say thank you to the person who has nominated you for the Award.
- Answer the 11 questions the person has asked you
- Nominate 11 people
- Ask the people who you have nominated 11 questions
Questions from Sabrina:
(1) What’s the silliest book you’ve ever read? (Fun silly! Though of course you can answer with a problematically silly book if you so choose.)
I think The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is entirely ridiculous…. but in the BEST possible way. The humour is off-the-wall, the characters are dafter than daft… and I love every thing about it. It is a perfect blend of silliness and insightfulness into human nature.

(2) What’s your favourite smell in the whole world?
The smell you get after summer rain. It’s just this perfect blend of sweet and clean, and everywhere just smells fresher!

(3) If you could be any part of a book, what would it be and why? (E.g. the cover, the epigraph, the blurb, the paper of the pages, etc.!)
The spine! Because though it may crack and break a little, it still retains its usefulness.

(4) Pair your favourite character with a snack/beverage!
Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye with salted pretzels! Or just salt… My boy Holden is very salty LOL!

(5) What song always reminds you of a character or book?
This is a bit of a cheat because the song is from the film adaptation of the book!! But Gabrielle’s Out of Reach always gives me happy memories of reading Bridget Jones’ Diary (I read the book only after seeing the film and loved the soundtrack!)
(6) What book did you first discover through a screen/stage adaptation, that is now one of your favourite reads?
I guess I could answer Bridget Jones’ Diary to this question now LOL!

(7) Translate the title of your favourite book into emojis! Or even a gifset!

I don’t know if you’d get The Catcher in the Rye from this!!!
(8) If you were to create your own bookish box, what book/merch/fandoms would you include?
I would like to maybe curate a bookbox that celebrated Irish authors with Irish handcrafts.

(9) Do you prefer to read totally offline or do you like to have Goodreads etc. open so you can post updates while you read?
Offline. I very rarely do book status updates as I read as I like to just get completely engrossed in my read.

(10) Have you ever dressed up as a book character, and if so, which was your favourite to do?
Sadly I haven’t but if I had the opportunity I would dress up as Arthur Dent from Hitchhiker’s Guide because he just wears a dressing gown and drinks tea which is my go-to daily vibe LOL!

(11) Have you ever named your pet/toys/children/spouse after a book character?
I haven’t but I have named toys and pets after film characters!

I now tag the following blogs to receive this award too:
- Krisha @Krisha’s Cozy Corner
- Suzan @Magical Book Lush
- Christine @Life With All the Books
- Naemi @A Book Owl’s Corner
- Bookish Luna
- Siobhan’s Novelties
- Mom’s Book Collection
- Ity Reads Books
- Books ‘n’ Butterflies
- The Bibliophagist
It’s okay if tags and awards aren’t your thing. No one should feel obligated to do this tag unless they want to.
My eleven questions for those tagged:
I’m going to borrow Sabrina’s questions because I really liked them! I hope that is okay Sabrina!

Loved your answers, Emer! I really need to read Hitchhiker’s Guide 😩! Seeing you mention that book here reminds me of a post you made where you recommended The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet, and I just wanted to say that I finally read that book this year because of you 😂 (I gave it 5 stars!!) Also, I love your reasoning for being the spine of a book 🥺💛.
